INEXPRIMABLE

All the dreams, journals, essays, letters to my mother, texts to my sister, replies to offices, replies on Facebook and books I haven’t written.

UNSPOKEN is a deconstruction of written communication: letters cannot form the words and writing does not want to deliver the content.

The artist reconstructs the writing process and creates abstract shapes that lie somewhere between the children's scribbles, typography and aesthetic ornamentation.

In the UNSPOKEN project Olkówna makes a visual reference to the aesthetics of school boards, often found in Malagasy schools. The school should inspire us and provide tools for self development. But what do we really learn at school? Authentic communication that gives us strength, mutual understanding and progress?

Or perhaps rather the loss of content in favour of form?

Using writing without content, the artist gets a hook to open the door to an expression without restriction.

I express my love for the expression process but the expression itself is too risky.

So I reveal a paradox. I speak to say nothing."
